There’s nothing more exciting for students than bringing in their brand new supplies! However, as a teacher I dread the endless writing of names marathon. Each eraser, glue stick, pencil, crayon…ok maybe not that bad, but I hate having to write names on everything. It’s theirs and they don’t want anyone else to have it. I get it! I have two kids of my own. Here’s what I do to save me time, my sharpies ink, and my fingers from hurting…
During Meet the Teacher, Open House, First Day of School, etc. I have printed on each desk a half page of labels with their first and last names. (Generally I have shipping size and address size) Whenever students start bringing in their supplies, they can then start putting the labels on everything. Psssss…it’s also great fine motor skill practice. Imagine a quiet room because everyone is trying to peel their labels off. 🙂 #winfortheteacher
Here’s what the finished product looks like…sort of…I’m on summer break and my labels were at school and I refuse to go back to school until pre-planning. You should join my cult!
You can make your labels as fancy or as boring as you like! #done #labeled #organized #happyteacher Thanks so much for reading! Make sure to go and read through the other great B#$% to S#@&*) (remember it’s a bad work for another two weeks) Ideas too!
