Get to Know Me and My Crazies!

After graduating in 2006, I started my career teaching 3rd grade students.  I then looped with that group of students to 4th grade.  After another year in 4th, I decided to switch schools where I took my dream job of teaching 2nd graders.  I taught 2nd grade for 4 years and was asked this year to take a new position.  I love my new job!  I serve 86 students each day and work in small groups with them all day long.  It is a lot more paperwork and planning, but the progress that my students make puts a smile on my face all day!

I have been married for 10 years to my husband Wesley.  He is a great supporter and encourager to me.  We’ve been through a lot together, but the Lord has blessed us through it all.

Along our marriage journey, we have been blessed with two precious boys.  Nate is sweet, calm and sensitive.  Paxton is wild, adventurous, and loving.  Together, we are complete and enjoy each and every day we are blessed with.

I was honored in 2014 to be Hart County’s District Teacher of the Year.  It is a humbling experience to be nominated and voted on by your staff members and friends, but even more so being selected for the county.  It has been an experience I will treasure forever.  The events that I have been to have been amazing!!!

When I am not blogging and selling on TPT, I love spending time with my family and friends.  That’s me in a few sentences.  I picked my blog and TPT name by conversations with my co-workers who always ask how I keep up with everything or joke saying they wish they could “Keep Up with Mrs. Harris. ”  I hope you find my blog helpful and informative as you are “Keeping Up with Mrs. Harris!”
