My New Best Friend – Printable Magnet Sheets

March 31, 2014

So my last blog post, I admitted my addiction to puzzle centers.  Well, y’all I’ve found my puzzle center’s soul mate…printable magnet sheets!  I just happened to fall upon this amazing product at Office Max last night.

First thing this morning, hot off the printer, my Kindergarten babies had a brand new center set printed and ready to go!  Just in case you are curious, this set is my Scooping Up Phonics Fun from my TPT Store.  So here’s how they printed…

All that was left for me to do was cut!  However, I have now decided that they are thin enough sheets to also laminate so they last forever!!!
I tried them out first with a group on a white board.  Worked perfectly! No sliding or moving.  Little hands approved!
I love watching their fingers as they sound out words!

For my second kindergarten group of the day, we moved the center to the “Magnet Center”. I use this area away from my small group table for students to work together.  It is a piece of metal screwed to the wall.

For my Magnet Center, students line up to take turns.  That way no one student is doing all of the work!
Packs of the printable magnet sheets sell at Walmart for $9 for a pack of 5.  However, on Ebay they are 25 for $24 with free shipping!  Needless to say, my package is on its way!  So excited to see what other ways we can use these in my room!!!  I hope you can use this in your room too!
