Is it time to start introducing the dreaded sight words to your students?
Wouldn’t it be nice if parents just did their part and taught their child their words at home? Yes, it would be nice, but you and I both know that just doesn’t happen! Some students just pick up sight words naturally without really even having to work hard at it while others just don’t get it no matter how many times we flash them with flash cards. Seriously! Change up how you teach those dreaded sight words with these two completely editable products! I promise! They have made a world of a difference in my classrooms in the past and with my son who is currently in kindergarten!
Sight Word Hunt and Find
I bet you could use 10 or 15 minutes where you aren’t leading the class, but monitoring and guiding. These self-paced PowerPoint games are sure to change your life! Just press play and watch your students learn their sight words. Take a look! So far, I have Pre-Primer, Primer, 1st Grade Dolch Words, 2nd Grade Dolch Words, and 3rd Grade Dolch Words.
Each PowerPoint game includes the Dolch words on a PowerPoint slide and worksheet. The exciting part is that the entire game can be customized and edited to fit the needs of your classroom. The slides are set to play and have sound to cue your students when a new slide has appeared. The slides transition after 35 seconds, but you can change that if you wish! Watch how below!
