So far these things have jumped out at me…
- When interventions are done correctly in a classroom, the amount of SPED referrals should dramatically decrease…not increase
- If you feel that the majority of your classroom needs interventions or RTI, then you need to evaluate your reading or math teaching style, curriculum, or materials.
- Differentiation by choice or learning style is not meeting the research based requirements of RTI or IDEA!!! Only when you differentiate through skill, need or reading level!
