Let’s be honest…
I don’t always have my life together. Okay, I never have my life together, and I stress shop A LOT! Scrolling through Facebook has seriously become dangerous. In an effort to have a more balanced life, which was my word for 2018, I am doing my best to plan out my outfits to take the guess work and constant throwing of clothes in a pile a little easier. So today, I am starting a new monthly topic on my website called Teacher Outfits-Plan, Schedule and Done. I hope these posts will make it easier as you put together items in your own closet for the week or month ahead.
Did you just stare at that picture a little too long and think, “How the heck does she have her outfits planned out for the rest of the month of January?” Were you a little jealous at my organization…DON’T BE! I’m still a hot mess over here, but I found an amazing app to seriously help me better manage my options and wardrobe. Maybe I won’t be able to say that I don’t have anything to wear anymore…maybe, just maybe.
The app Stylebook is available in the App Store for $3.99. Downloading the app is the easy part, adding your clothes into the app is a little more difficult, but totally worth it!!! I spent 2 1/2 hours this morning snapping pics of some of my clothes and instantly was able to arrange 16 different outfits that I honestly have never worn together before. I still have 3/4 of my closet to take pictures of, but after planning outfits for the rest of the month, I am sold! It is definitely worth my time, and I know it will help me with cleaning out my closet of clothes that I am no longer wearing too.
One of my favorite features is the ability to drag and drop different options. I know black flats are more practical, but gold is way more fun. It was nice to drag and drop to see how each option would look. Sometimes my pictures didn’t show all that accurate color, but the app allows you to add the colors in a description if you prefer.
So, if you are thinking, I just don’t know if I can commit to this and the amount of time that it will take up, step back and look at this. The rest of January is planned for me. Instead of spending 20-30 minutes picking out my outfits every morning, I now will be able to accomplish other tasks in the morning. This is huge for me as a full time teacher, full time mom, and a teacher with a side hustle.
Be sure to come back next month to checkout my other outfits and style tips for the month of February!
