Do you know what to expect with guided reading levels?  This is probably one of the most important aspects of guided reading and surprisingly, most teachers can’t identify or recognize the different learning traits of each level.

It is hard to know exactly what students are learning at each level A-Z of guided reading groups and leveled readers, so I created a guide to help teachers have a resource at their finger tips so you can see what your students are learning, doing, and what is next.  This was created when I was serving kindergarteners through third graders.  I had students from level A to level N and I really needed to know what they were working on at each level so I could push them to the next level.

For example, my level B students were learning to look at pictures to pick up on clues that would help them better comprehend the story.  Knowing this, I was then able to make sure that I stopped on each page to allow them time to study the pictures. Before, I probably would have just kept on reading!  Shame on me!
