Have you been wondering about WonderBox? Have you even heard about WonderBox? It is a fantastic app that I just happen to adore!
I signed up to present a lesson using this app for a local iPadFest, but my son was sick. So I decided that I should share the lesson here for you! If you are looking to integrate more technology into your lessons, you should head over to the app store now and download this fun app. Here’s a quick overview video from WonderBox’s YouTube channel. Take a look!
When you set up your class and students in the app, you can allow them to comment and discuss their videos. They can ask each other questions or congratulate each other on a job well done. If you have previously used ChatterPix, they are similar in the way you can animate pictures. The more you use the app, the more “points” you get to unlock new clipart and images.
Teaching story elements is such a fun way to incorporate technology with so why not give WonderBox a try with it? Here’s a FREE lesson download so you can give it a try for yourself! There is a teacher’s guide, app set guide, and student printables for organizing their video. Click here!
Here’s an example of a character video that my students created. They gave great examples of types of characters and decided to show a well known character as their main image. The cat talks and the students recorded their definition of a character.
So, not only can students view videos that are educational and preloaded into the app, but they can create their own on nearly any topic or assignment that you give them! There is very little pre-teaching required, but I did list a few pre-requisits that would be helpful before starting this lesson! Enjoy! Comment below with an idea of how you could use WonderBox and be sure to share this post and freebie with your friends!
