Ready to give “Busy Bags” a try in your classroom? They are a great way to reward your students, fill extra time, and explore creatively while building social skills.
When can students use Busy Bags?
- Indoor recess
- Early finishers
- Reward for behavior
- Morning work (we use these on Fridays)
What’s the best storage?
I’m currently using the mesh zipper pouches from Amazon. Click here for the link. This allows me to separate the pieces into smaller groups for students to share. I can also spray with disinfectant and shake. We store all the baggies in a small recycling bin storage box from IKEA.
What is in each of the baggies?
- Legos
- Brainflakes
- Dominoes
- Linking chains
- Snap cubes
- Pattern blocks
- Straw builders
- Basically anything you have on hand or can get from Amazon.
