The sparkle in your students’ eyes when you open a drawer of brand new centers and manipulatives is priceless. You can almost feel their enthusiasm to get to that station rotation as quickly as possible so they can touch, move and practice with these newly organized materials. MAYBE that is a little over the top, but you guys know there is nothing more exciting than themed centers and materials.

February is almost here and I have found some of the BEST manipulatives for the month to engage your learners and best of all, you can find them all on Amazon or your local craft store.

If you have heard by now, I am currently offering monthly subscriptions boxes made by this first grade teacher for YOUR classroom and students. All of the boxes are packed by my family and delivered to your doorstep. I’m talking about all the color printed materials, spinners, counters, erasers, beads, etc. You name it and we are packing it!

The month of February is themed around deep purples, reds, pink and greens. The skills were voted on by current teacher subscribers so that we ensured that the centers meet the needs of students. Thankfully, they even work for my first graders too! Yay!

Let’s get our hands on some goodies!

This month there are four different hands on learning goodies included in the boxes. Many of the games reuse the same pieces so you can use them all month long without having to find other items around your classroom.

My favorite find by far this month were these amazing spinners! When I say amazing… I mean AMAZING! Just the slightest touch will send this arrow circling around the paper. They glide beautifully and for little fingers like our primary students have, they are perfect! No frustration if they don’t thump hard enough!

While the spinners are my favorite manipulative included in the box, my favorite game is this VCE bead and pipe cleaner activity. All of the chenille stems are cut to the perfect length and come in a variety of colors and textures to meet the needs of our sensory friends. Stringing the beads strengths hand-eye coordination and fine motor practice. It is a win-win for all teachers! The kindergarten box also includes this same activity with CVC words.

Last, but not least, we all love the mini erasers! These heart erasers are bright and clearly the perfect size for all things MATH! These little hearts are used in three different games this month for subtilizing, adding, and subtracting.
