No April Fools’ joke here!!! April is quickly approaching! Are your centers for the month ready? Did you know many teachers across the country have stopped searching, buying, printing, and gathering materials for their centers? Instead, they have their centers shipped straight to their doorstep with all the little pieces and materials included in the box. The April “Keeping Up with Centers” boxes are here!

“Keeping Up with Centers” was a new idea I had back in the fall. So, in January, after many hours of deliberation and planning, my family and I launched the project, and our very first “Keeping Up With Centers” box was completed! Each month, more and more teachers are signing up and the feedback has been overwhelming! Teachers love that they are spending less time focusing on centers and getting more time back with their families. These boxes are designed to last you the entire month! You can see more by clicking here. This post will tell you all the details on the April “Keeping Up with Centers” box.

The month of April is here, and this box is full of SPRING colors, animals, and plants along with rich academic content for both kindergarten and first grade classrooms. There are four different manipulatives included in this box. We brought back everyone’s favorite, spinners! If you haven’t bought a pack of these to share with your grade level team, you need to give them a try! We also tried a few new items for counters and hands on learning.

Anytime I can include fine motor practice to a math or phonics centers, I take full advantage of the opportunity. When I found these links on Amazon, I had to have them. These are used a lot in the April box because they are such a fun way for students to change a matching game into something a little more engaging. Use the link at the bottom of this post to see more.

I don’t know about your classroom, but right now my students are OBSESSED with spring sports! When my husband found these beads at Michael’s we knew we had to use them for something. They are used in the box for both graphing and nonstandard measurement activities. Use the link below this post to find them on Amazon.

The spinners are BACK! The spinners were first used in February and everyone raved so about them that we decided to include them in the April box as well. This box has two different spinner games for both kindergarten and first grade classrooms. These are simply the best spinners, and with just a tap give you an amazing spin.

The final item included in the box are acrylic flowers that can be used in the above spin and cover game. The flowers are also used in the nonstandard measurement activity as well.

March 31st is the last day to order the April “Keeping Up with Centers” box, but you can subscribe for the May box after that date. Kindergarten and First Grade boxes do sell out each month, but once you subscribe there will always be a box saved for you! Click here to see more and sign up!

  • How do I sign on to the centers website? I am a subscriber and one page was missing from my kit… no worries, easy enough to print but I have no idea where to find the site to print from.

  • Do these kits come with answer keys? I subscribed to the second grade kits and sometimes I’m not sure about some of the pictures.
